Fronds full of frills, Phlebodium Davana is the flashy fern of the family. Powdery green hues awash with blues, Davana razzle-dazzles in all directions on crimped and crinkled foliage. This fern feels fuller and more robust than others and is happy just hanging out at home.

Phlebodium Davana - Blue Star Fern Care & Info Guide

Light: Davana prefers partial, but will enjoy some brighter indirect lighting conditions. Keep away from complete shade and direct light sources as this will burn and dry out the leaves.

Water: Keep the soil moist at all times. Water when the surface becomes slightly dry, but don't over-do it, the Blue Star Fern won't thank you if it is left standing in water. Water from the sides rather directly onto the leaves.

Temperature: Normal household temperatures 16-24°C, can cope with short periods down to 10°C. Avoid draughts.

Humidity: These ferns prefer higher humidity levels where possible. Ideal for kitchens and bathrooms. Increase humidity by spraying to retain blue green hues.

Feed: Liquid fertiliser can be applied occasionally during the growing season. Take care not to over-feed, they don’t need a lot. View Plant Nutrition
