Deliveries

Availability & Dispatch

If all of your order is fully in stock we usually aim to dispatch within 1-2 working days (please note: we are closed weekends and bank holidays). We will send you a shipping confirmation email along with tracking details once your order has been dispatched. Most deliveries are sent on a next working day service (subject to remote area postcodes). If you have requested a Saturday delivery, your order will be dispatched on the first available Friday after your order is ready for processing (our cut off time is midday Friday for next day Saturday delivery).

By default, our delivery partners will not leave parcels unattended unless you specifically authorise them to do so. The courier delivery notifications and emails will offer you options if you are not going to be in, such as leave with a neighbour or in a safe place, or you can request an alternative delivery day etc. Parcels will be returned to the depot unless you instruct the courier otherwise.

Please be aware that as plants are perishable, we aim to use the fastest available service for your area. If you ask the courier to delay delivery we are unable to reimburse you for deterioration in plant health.

If you request your items to be left unattended, this is at your own risk and we are unable to reimburse you for any lost or weather damaged items.

You may include directions to your property in the shopping basket to help the driver to find your property, however please do not include requests to leave in a safe place in your shopping basket when placing your order.

Leave safe instructions can only be requested in response to delivery notifications and options you receive directly from our couriers when your order has been dispatched. Please Note: we are unable to arrange leave safe instructions on your behalf.

Our delivery partners will aim to deliver in accordance with delivery instructions and timelines but we are unable to guarantee these.

Selecting item options on a product page displays a message to show if an item is in stock or, if not, an estimate of when the item will be available for dispatch. If the message displayed for an item is "In stock" it means there is at least one available for dispatch. If you have ordered some items that are not in stock then we would normally dispatch your order in full when all items are available. Please let us know if you would like to split your order and have the items in stock dispatched immediately for a small additional charge.

Certain items such as our larger pots and plants are only brought in to order and may not always be immediately available from our manufacturers or growers. These items will have an indicative lead time on the product page e.g. “Delivery: 1-2 weeks” rather than showing as “In stock”.

We do ask for your understanding when it comes to dispatch timescales. Plants are living organisms that perish unless treated appropriately. If weather conditions are not suitable for transport by our growers or ourselves, we may need to delay dispatch so that you receive your plants in the best condition possible. Please note: in order to protect plant health, we also reserve the right to avoid plants being in transit over the weekend if weather conditions are unsuitable.

Courier Delivery Instructions

You can add delivery directions for the courier in the shopping basket. These instructions are printed on the address label to help the delivery driver find your address (excludes Royal Mail and pallet deliveries). Requests to leave safe must be arranged directly with the courier via their own delivery notification systems. A signature will be required to confirm receipt of courier deliveries unless you have authorised the courier to leave your parcel in a safe place. If you request your items to be left unattended, this is at your own risk and we are unable to reimburse you for any lost or weather damaged items. Please note drivers are not always able to meet requests to call ahead of delivery.

Pallet Deliveries

Larger orders and bulky/heavy items will be sent using a pallet delivery service. When your order is ready for dispatch you will be contacted to arrange a suitable delivery date.

Our pallet service is a kerbside delivery service, drivers will not be able to move pallets or goods inside the property. Delivery will be made to the closest access point that has a solid and level surface for pallet deliveries to be made safely using a pump truck. Disposal of the pallet and packaging following delivery is your responsibility.

Pallet deliveries cannot be left unattended. The first pallet delivery attempt is deemed delivered. In the event there is nobody present to receive the pallet delivery an additional charge of £50 plus VAT is payable before each subsequent delivery attempt. If the pallet is recalled due to failed delivery attempts any refunds will be subject to deductions for costs of delivery attempts and recall.

Delivery Charges

Delivery charges depend on the destination, the order value and whether you have ordered plants. Please see the tables below to understand how much delivery will cost for all orders up to £200. Delivery costs are calculated at the point of checkout for orders over £200 (£500 for pallet item deliveries). To ensure plants reach you in the best condition possible, we aim to send plants out using a 24 hour delivery service with our trusted delivery partner (excludes Northern Ireland and certain remote postcodes, please contact us if you require further details). Larger orders and bulky /heavy items will be sent using a kerbside pallet delivery service.

Please note: we are unable to ship to the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Scilly Islands, BFPO or PO Box addresses. A signature will be required to confirm receipt of courier deliveries unless you authorise your parcel to be left in a safe place (see above).
