Chlorophytum comosum Variegatum has narrow, dark green leaves, about 45cm long, edged with white stripes. Small white flowers form in separate clusters attached by short stems that also bear small plantlets (baby spiders). Chlorophytum comosum Variegatum is a more modern and compact variety than Chlorophytum comosum Vittatum.

Horty Hints

Spring summer collection! Giving this Spider Plant lots of bright light and some early morning / late afternoon direct sun will improve its striped variegation.

Share the love! Baby Spiders can be pressed down into compost and left to self-root, giving you a second plant to pass on to friends and family.

If brown tips do occur, these can be trimmed away if preferred, but avoid cutting into the green part of the foliage as this will only create more brown further up the leaf.
