A little on the wild side, the Emerald Feather is amassed with a filigree of living fronds that grow from a compact central crown. This nest of fork-like needles peacefully sprawls, trails and crisscrosses, giving the plant a full fresh feel to subtly soften your space.
Beware the bare - Trimming off the older, thinning or bare fronds in early spring will encourage new growth.
Happy when humid - If you notice rapid needle loss and yellowing stems, increase the humidity. Trim back any yellowing stems at soil level.
Shade seeker! Direct sunlight will scorch the leaves and dark corners will stunt growth. Filtered light is right.
