Tradescantia zebrina is prized for its easy care nature and colourful foliage of silver, purple and green to brighten up any room as a hanging or trailing indoor plant.

The common name of Wandering Jew is derived from the its ability to easily root and thrive in different environments. Tradescantia zebrina is part of the Spiderwort family and is also known as Zebrina pendula or the Inch Plant.

Please note, some stem and leaf loss is likely to occur during transit and should not cause concern. The plant is very fast growing and will quickly generate new growth.

Tradescantia zebrina - Wandering Jew Care & Info Guide

Light: Thrives in bright to medium light conditions. To maintain the most striking colours give it bright diffused light.

Water: Water well during the growing season and allow to dry out between watering. If the plant sits in wet soil for long periods it will cause root rot. Reduce the amount of watering in winter.

Temperature: Happy in normal room temperatures from 10-24°C.

Humidity: Prefers increased levels of humidity but will tolerate normal conditions.

Feed: Apply a weak general purpose fertiliser during the summer. View Plant Nutrition
