Sansevieria trifasciata Diamond Flame - Snake Plant Care & Info Guide
Shady spots sorted! The Diamond Flame can adapt to lower light conditions making it an ideal addition to those not-so-sunny locations.
Drier than the Sahara Desert? Not a problem for the Sansevieria as they are drought-tolerant! Allow the soil to dry out completely in between watering to avoid root rot.
Time for a trim? If your Diamond Flame has experienced some additional scarring or damage to one or two leaves, you can slice the leaf back into its beautiful pointed shape using a sharp, sterilised blade.
Sanseviera trifasciata Diamond Flame does best in moderate to bright, indirect light, but can also adapt to low light conditions if preferred.
Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering. Water thoroughly and allow to drain freely. Do not allow the plant to sit in water as this will cause root rot.
This Snake Plant is happy in places with temperatures between 15°C and 23°C and can tolerate temperatures as low as 10°C for short periods.
The trifasciata Diamond Flame will do fine in normal household humidity. Avoid humid locations but if brown tips develop, consider occasional misting.
Apply a weak dose of cactus or general purpose feed once a month at most during the growing season. Sansevieria are low maintenance plants and don't need a lot of food.
