Pilosocereus gounellei is a beautiful blue-green, columnar, tree-like cactus. New stems fork from its base, which over time create an interesting, spreading candelabra effect. Larger, mature plants produce white, funnel-shaped flowers which bloom at night. Pilocereus means hairy cereus, referring to its many golden spines and was previously called Pilocereus.
