A fascinating and funky fern, less delicate in appearance than many of its contemporaries. The sturdy, elongated, blue-green fronds curl into non-conforming straps, spilling from the plant in a delightfully higgledy-piggledy manner.

A great, undemanding houseplant, providing a perfect background for other foliage plants or to soften a dark corner.

Light: Low to moderate light requirements, ideal for homes and offices.

Water: Keep the soil moist at all times. Water when the surface becomes slightly dry, but don't over-do it, the Blue Star Fern won't thank you if it is left standing in water. Water from the sides rather directly onto the leaves.

Temperature: Normal household temperatures 16-24°C, can cope with short periods down to 10°C. Avoid draughts.

Humidity: These ferns prefer higher humidity levels where possible. Mist regularly or pop it in the shower for a while to improve humidity and keep the leaves free from dust.

Feed: Liquid fertiliser can be applied occasionally during the growing season. Take care not to over-feed, they don’t need a lot. View Plant Nutrition
