The Boston Fern is an elegant Victorian favourite, sometimes called the Sword fern. It has graceful, arching, green fronds with a ruffled appearance that is best displayed in a hanging basket or on a stand where it can cascade over the edge.

The Boston Fern will not only bring an air of calm to your home. It is one of the best known plants for purifying the air and regulating humidity.

Light: Moderate light requirements, anywhere from bright, indirect sunlight to light shade.

Water: Keep the soil moist at all times. Water when the surface becomes slightly dry. Do not over water and use lukewarm, soft water where possible.

Temperature: Average household temperatures 16-24°C, but no lower than 12°C. Avoid cold draughts.

Humidity: These ferns prefer higher humidity levels and don't do well in dry air conditions. Do not place near radiators etc. Group with other plants in your kitchen or bathroom to help increase humidity levels.

Care Tips: Boston Fern may develop deep brown spores on the underside edges of the fronds. These are not pests, so don't panic.
