Insert the water meter into the slot on the side of the hydroculture grow pot and through the hole in the rim at the top of the grow pot.
Check the height of the plant in the plant pot. Aim to have a gap of approx. 4cm between the grow pot and the rim of the plant pot.
If you need to raise the plant height, void fill with a layer of hydrogranules at the base of the plant pot.
Place the liner in the plant pot on top of any hydrogarnules you have added to the base of the plant pot.
Slightly trim down the liner if it protrudes above the plant pot or to create a straighter and flusher fit inside the plant pot.
Place the plant in its grow pot, directly on to the base of the liner to ensure accurate water readings.
Surround the grow pot with hydrogranules added to the liner as well as any gaps outside the liner.
Add a top layer of hydrogranules to cover the grow pot and liner, for a neat uniform finish.
Add water to the hydrogranules to create the water reservoir at the base of the grow pot.
Add water until the float reaches optimum, avoid going above this. Let the float drop to minimum for 1-2 weeks before topping up.
Add a specific hydroculture liquid feed to your watering regime, to provide nutrients without the need for soil organisms.
Add a liquid hydroculture feed every other time you water. Use the numbered dial on the water meter to remind you.
