Ficus benghalensis Audrey has large, thick, oval shaped, leathery leaves similar to those of Ficus elastica. Prominent, pale pink-green veins stand out against the glossy richness of the leaf colour.

In their natural tropical habitat, Bengal Figs can grow to over 30m tall with a spread of 200m and are some of the largest canopy trees in the world. However, don't panic, you can easily manage their size as a container grown houseplant to add height and texture to a room. Other common names include Strangler Fig and Banyan Tree.

Horty Hints

Don’t say hello to the yellow! Yellowing leaves is a sign of improper watering. Allow soil to almost dry-out completely before watering, then saturate and allow to drain freely.

Insufficient light or improper watering can trigger leaf drop! Adjust as necessary and your plant should quickly recover.

A little off the top! Trim to maintain your Ficus' desired shape, but be aware that sticky latex will ooze from the ends of the cut stems! This can be an irritant, so make sure to wash your hands afterwards.

Please note: images show how this plant may look at various stages of maturity. The size you choose may look different.
