Stromanthe is a member of the Maranta family along with Calathea and Ctenanthe. All have exquisite foliage and are known as Prayer Plants due to the way the leaves close upwards at night.

This variegated Stromanthe has exuberant tropical cream and green leaves, with striking hot-pink undersides. It deserves a front row seat in a contemporary pot.

Horty Hints

Location, Location, Location! Too little sun will cause the vivid colours on this plant to fade, too much and it will bleach and burn. A north or east-facing window for the win.

Crisp, brown leaves are an indication that the air surrounding the plant is too dry. Move your Triostar to a more humid room such as the bathroom or kitchen, or give it an occasional misting to allow it to recover.

Make sure to check if the top of your Stromanthe's soil has begun to dry out before watering, as overwatering can cause root rot.
