Agave Shaka Zulu is a beautiful specimen plant. Named after the most famous Zulu clan chief, Shaka, who reigned the Zulu tribes in the early 1900s, with a fierce reputation for military strategy and warfare.
The dense geometric blue-green rosette of fleshy leaves are edged in red and finish in a fine point reminiscent of Zulu spears.
Horty Hints
Catchin’ rays! The Agave Shaka Zulu loves lots of sunshine so pop it on your windowsill or in a similarly bright location to keep your plant content.
Stop the rot! Allow your cactus’ soil to completely dry-out in between watering as excess water can lead to root rot.
Agave grow from the centre and older foliage dies away as the plant matures. Remove older stems as necessary. Agave are quite happy being somewhat pot-bound.
