HydroCare plant sizes are shown as the grow pot diameter/grow pot height x the total height of the plant.
Important: HydroCare plants must be assembled in a waterproof pot liner so that a reservoir of water and nutrients can be maintained at the base of the hydro grow pot for the plant to draw from.
Add the corresponding “Hydro Kit” to your order to ensure you have the correct liner and water level indicator required for assembly.
Please note: each plant is unique so available heights are approximate and the plant you receive may vary by ±10%
Important: HydroCare plants must be kept in their original hydro grow pot. When assembling in a decorative pot or planter you’ll want to check that the diameter of the hydro grow pot will fit through the opening of your chosen decorative pot.
Important: We provide the correct liner to fit the hydro grow pot in our “Hydro Kits.” This can be changed in your basket for a larger liner if it suits your choice of decorative pot but should not be swapped for a smaller liner that will not fit the hydro grow pot.
Tip: For each size option we give an idea of the decorative pot size that would match with the diameter of the hydro grow pot. HydroCare plants have a smaller, hardier root system than soil-based plants so hydro grow pots are smaller.
A useful rule of thumb for a balanced look and to avoid a decorative pot that looks too small, is to aim for a combination where the height of the decorative pot makes up approximately one third of the total height of the plant and pot when assembled, unless you're opting for a tall planter style or the plant’s growth habit is trailing or compact.
